UPDATE:- Little Lambs Volunteers quickly responded with blankets, household items, beds, food, clothing and other basic essentials to help the victims of the Site 5 Fire. Thank you to these generous souls for helping us help the community…your efforts were AMAZING!
UPDATE:- We visited one of our créches and found one of the little girls with a big burn on her leg! 😣 It has gone untreated and it was so sore that she hardly got involved in any of the activities! We have seen her since and the burn is slowly healing. We are hoping that the cream we have provided will help her heal quicker so she can start playing with her friends again!
UPDATE:- We need hands…HELP!
UPDATE:- These smiles are what makes all the hard work so worth it! Our toy drops are all about making these kiddies happy and that’s exactly what they did today!
UPDATE:- Our Play to Learn session this morning.. look at that SMILE!!
We visited Karl Bremer hospital yesterday where we heard the most heartbreaking story about a young woman escaping a hostage situation so she could safely deliver her baby girl. Although the baby was delivered prematurely, she is healthy and safe. All the mommies who received packs yesterday were beyond grateful and could not stop showing their appreciation. Sometimes, it is extremely difficult to walk into these situations and see babies so helpless but it also motivates us to work harder to help more.
UPDATE:- We delivered lots of school bags filled with stationary and uniforms to primary schools in DuNoon today! 🎒 Children were going to school in old, torn uniforms with broken school bags and no stationary! Now they are comfortable and ready to learn! 📚
UPDATE:- We went to visit baby Nazareth in the safe house today to drop off some much need clothes and supplies! 💚🐑 Despite the horrible living conditions he is a very bouncy, bubbly and happy little boy! He’s growing up so quickly and is looking as healthy as ever!
UPDATE:- The Little Lambs are back for 2018! We did our first creche visits today and received loads of hugs and kisses. Everyone is very excited to start learning!
📚 Still very sad to see some children with sore little toes but we are ready for the challenge to change their lives!
UPDATE:- Our Safehouse little boy (We have named him Nazareth) is doing well. With all the support, we were able to buy him food, clothing and toys. The home was donated a microwave, kettle, 2 plate stove and pots. We bought them some electricity SO they are sorted for a while!
The most EXCITING NEWS is that Nazareth will be moving to a Little Lambs creche – we will be able to keep an eye on him and make sure he grows into a healthy happy little boy.
